Learn how to use your own domain in the bio link with Superplural Link, replacing the default address with a URL that reflects your brand's identity.
The standard bio link is located at an address like yourdomain.com/yourusername. It works well, but it doesn't carry your brand's identity. With a custom domain on Superplural Link, you can replace that address with any URL you want: links.yourbrand.com, bio.yoursite.com, or even the root domain.
Why use a custom domain
- Reinforces brand identity in every link you share
- Makes the address easier to remember
- Removes visual dependence on a third-party platform
- For agencies: each client can have their own subdomain managed centrally
- The bio link can be installed as an app on the user's phone, with your brand's icon and name
How it works technically
The custom domain on Superplural Link works via CNAME in the DNS. You point a subdomain (or the root domain) to the Superplural Link server, and the system identifies which bio link page should be displayed for each domain.
To check your domain's DNS records before you start, use the free DNS lookup tool from Superplural Link. It shows A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, and other records in seconds, directly from your browser.
Step-by-step setup
- In the Superplural Link dashboard, go to the "Domains" section and click to add a new domain
- Enter the domain or subdomain you want to use (e.g., bio.yourbrand.com)
- Superplural Link will show the IP or CNAME address to point to
- In your DNS provider's dashboard (Registro.br, Cloudflare, GoDaddy, etc.), create the indicated record
- Wait for DNS propagation, which can take from minutes to 24 hours
- Superplural Link automatically confirms the domain when it detects the correct pointing
After activation, you can check if your domain's SSL is working correctly with the free SSL checker.
Custom domain for shortened links as well
The same functionality is available for the URL shortener. Instead of yourdomain.com/xyz, your links will be at srt.yourbrand.com/xyz. For those working with paid traffic or email marketing, a custom domain link conveys much more credibility than a generic shortener link.
Bio link as an installable app (PWA)
An extra advantage of using a custom domain: when users access your bio link from their mobile devices, they can install the page as an app on their home screen. This feature is called PWA (Progressive Web App).
With a custom domain, the "app" icon that appears on the user's home screen has your brand's name and logo. For creators and brands with a loyal audience, this creates a direct access channel on the follower's phone, without relying on the algorithm of any social network.
For agencies: complete white-label
Agencies using Superplural Link to manage client links can set up separate domains for each one. Each client has their own bio link address and shortener, with no reference to the agency or Superplural Link in the URL.
